TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SOFTWARE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE
Protecturpc is a tech support service company that provides individual consumers with tech support services for their personal computers. These services include detecting and eliminating viruses and worms, optimizing your computer to run as efficiently as possible, and in some situations we may provide support for programs that are installed on your computer.
COMPUTER ACCESS By utilizing the recurring monthly tech support plan you acknowledge that in order for us to assist in any PC support issue we will be accessing your computer; this is a limited access and does not give us access to your computer at any time or for any other reason other than to support you in the issue(s) that you were having at that specific time. We do not remotely scan your computer or have access to your computer in any manner whatsoever except when you have given us specific permission. In order to access your computer we send you to a website that provides a code which must be given to the tech support agent in order to access your computer; this access is only good for a one time session. At the end of the session the agent will advise the customer to exit their browser which disconnects the agent from the customer computer; this process is required each and every time a tech needs to access a customer's computer.
AFFILIATIONS Protecturpc is not affiliated with Microsoft or any other company; we are a third party service company that is not representing any other company. We do not provide warranties or service agreements for any software or hardware that you own, nor do we guarantee any part of the equipment that you own. When you purchase one of our packages it is for general tech support which we will provide to the best of our ability, however if you have a hardware or software malfunction this is beyond our control you agree to hold us harmless.
CANCELLATION OF MONTHLY SERVICE
To cancel the monthly tech support service you must contact us at (203) 239-3142 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org at least 7 days prior to your billing date; billing is made each month on the day you first signed up for service. If you cancel with less than seven days remaining to the billing date, your cancellation will take effect the following month and you will still be billed for the upcoming month.
REFUNDS Protecturpc has a no refund policy once payment has been made. It is our policy to provide you with either tech support if needed or a virus and computer health scan in advance of payment. Once payment is made you agree that the transaction is final and you agree not to reverse charges. If you reverse charges you agree that in addition to collecting the funds that you charged back that we can charge you an administrative fee of $100 to cover our costs. If you feel that you we have not provided you the service that you were promised you can send us an email to billing@Protecturpc.com with a refund request and an account manager will review your request and make a decision. Please be advised that we record all calls and will base our decision in part based on those recordings. You understand and agree that it is at our sole discretion whether or not to refund an account.
OTHER BUSINESSES Parties other than Protecturpc operate similar businesses and unfortunately not all of them are respectable companies. Some of them operate for the sole purpose of charging consumer credit cards and once this has been done they cease to operate, others provide a substandard service; please do not confuse us with them.
